Holographic Appearance, Tamper Evidence and QR Verification

Define what you want the label to achieve

A label may be selected for visual presentation, visible evidence of removal or a digital verification process. Describe the outcome before choosing the construction. These features can be combined, but they solve different problems.

Holographic appearance

Rainbow and holographic effects change how a label looks under light. Discuss logo visibility, desired color effect and where the label will sit on the package. Visual appearance alone is not proof of authenticity. Review a sample under the lighting your customers will use.

Tamper evidence

A tamper-evident or VOID construction is intended to show a change after removal. Results depend on the selected label construction, packaging surface, application and removal conditions. Tell your supplier what should happen when someone tries to peel the label, and test that behavior on the actual packaging.

QR codes and serial numbers

A QR code carries data or a link. A serial number identifies an item according to the agreed numbering rules. An authentication process additionally requires a working verification destination, rules and an appropriate system. Printing a code does not create that service automatically.

Build a practical sample test

Check visual appearance, legibility, scan performance and the required removal behavior. Confirm that the QR destination works and the data matches the intended artwork. Document the approved specification before production.

What your quotation should cover

Send logo artwork, dimensions, shape, quantity, package material, desired effect, numbering rules and delivery destination. State whether digital verification infrastructure is already available or requires separate scope.

Specify the result you need to test

Separate three checks in your approval brief: the optical appearance under light, the visible result after removal from the intended surface, and the behavior of the verification destination after scanning a printed code. Record a pass condition for each function required by your project.

Review custom holographic label options, compare materials and finishes, and confirm numbering and artwork through the label customization process.
